What we collect

• What you give us: your email address when you ask for the sample sheets, start a payment, ask for your order link or ask for a sign-in link, and anything you write to us.
• Signing in: the address you sign in with, when a sign-in link was asked for and used, and when you signed in and out. Requests are counted under a coded value, never under your address or network address, to limit how often links can be asked for.
• Your order: the design and release you bought, the licence and terms versions, what you paid, the promotion code if any, the delivery of the package and each file served to you.
• Your visit: we record selected interactions on the site, such as viewing a design, opening its model and starting a payment, with identifiers of the design, release or offer. Our hosting and the services that process visit statistics for us may also receive technical data your browser sends, such as your network address, browser and device type, language and the page you came from. Your browser keeps your visit-statistics choice.
• Payment is taken on the page of our payment provider. Your card details go to them and never to this site.

What it is used for

• To deliver what you bought and keep My plans and your order page open for you.
• To send what you asked for: the sample sheets, your order confirmation, your order link, sign-in links and answers to your questions.
• To understand how the site is used and to improve it, to measure what brings visitors here, and to show relevant information about our plans.
• To prevent fraud, enforce our terms and the licence, keep records the law requires and defend claims.

Mail

We send what you asked for. If you ticked the box at the sample form, we may also write to you about our plans; every such mail carries an unsubscribe link, and when you unsubscribe through it we stop writing to you about our plans.

Your choices

Visit statistics are on by default. Under Privacy choices in the footer you can switch them off; your choice is kept in your browser, and if your browser does not allow us to keep it, statistics stay off for that page and the choice must be made again on the next visit. You can also block cookies in your browser. My plans needs its one sign-in cookie to work: it is set when you sign in, holds only a random value that lets the site recognise your session. Your sign-in expires when you sign out, after 14 days without use, or after 30 days at most. The order page needs its own cookie for that order. Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at support@gableandoak.com; we answer within the time the law allows and may ask you to confirm the address on the order. Where the law of your state gives you further rights, we honour them on request.

Who else handles it

Service providers that process data for us under contract: our payment provider, our mail services, our hosting and our analytics services. They may process it in the United States, Singapore and other countries. Authorities and courts when the law requires it, and whoever takes over the business if it changes hands. We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

• Orders, licences, deliveries and downloads: as long as we need them for tax, licence and legal records, generally seven years from the purchase.
• Mail subscriptions: your choice and the record of your consent; after you unsubscribe, what we need to honour it and to show the consent you gave.
• Visit statistics: as long as they help us improve the site, generally no more than two years.
• Sign-in links and sessions: until they run out or you sign out, then up to 30 days.
• Messages you send us: as long as needed to answer and to keep a record.

Children

This site sells to adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this notice; the date at the top is the version in force.
